Teddy Bear Carnival

Bring a favorite stuffed animal to this carnival-style event as we play, discover, and romp in the spring sunshine. The lawn at the Southwest Branch will have a festive array of storytimes, activities, and arts and crafts for preschool-aged children to enjoy. This is a come-and-go event, so bring the family and join the fun!

El Día in the Courtyard

Join us for a fun-filled event celebrating diversity and literacy! El Día in the Courtyard celebrates the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. There will be storytimes in different languages throughout the day, performers, musicians, crafts, and every child leaves with a free book!

Eric Nadel's Summer Reading Club visit!

Storytime at Southeast Branch gets a change-up June 19. Eric Nadel , announcer for the Texas Rangers , will come for the third year in a row and read for children and greet fans. Mr. Nadel has been calling games for the Rangers for over 30 years, and received the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.

Bilingual Storytime

A Bilingual Storytime that focuses on parent-child interaction. This program uses a wide variety of activities designed to help toddlers and preschoolers with dual language acquisition and pre-literacy skills, all while being fun and engaging. Parents will be introduced to effective tools to entertain, interact, comfort, and observe their children.
