Teddy Bear Carnival

Bring a favorite stuffed animal to this carnival-style event as we play, discover, and romp in the spring sunshine. The lawn at the Southwest Branch will have a festive array of storytimes, activities, and arts and crafts for preschool-aged children to enjoy. This is a come-and-go event, so bring the family and join the fun!

Learn skills and techniques for reading stories aloud and engaging with young listeners. Enjoy a demonstration of story performance from library staff, practice your own read aloud skills, and receive feedback and guidance.

Join one of Arlington Public Library's storytime professionals for a stupendous storytime at our ArlingCon event! Our ArlingCon storytime will be full of superheroes and action ending with a very special craft!

Eric Nadel's Summer Reading Club visit!

Storytime at Southeast Branch gets a change-up June 19. Eric Nadel , announcer for the Texas Rangers , will come for the third year in a row and read for children and greet fans. Mr. Nadel has been calling games for the Rangers for over 30 years, and received the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.

Bilingual Storytime

A Bilingual Storytime that focuses on parent-child interaction. This program uses a wide variety of activities designed to help toddlers and preschoolers with dual language acquisition and pre-literacy skills, all while being fun and engaging. Parents will be introduced to effective tools to entertain, interact, comfort, and observe their children.

Born to Stand Out: A Special Needs Storytime

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" - Dr. Seuss

This program offers a welcoming atmosphere for children of all ages and abilities. Come explore this "choose-your-own-adventure" type of storytime through hands-on, sensory-friendly activities as well as music and movement.

Born to Stand Out meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Southwest Branch, September-November.

Read and Play
