Circuit Bending

Find out what makes a toy tick and move around by taking it apart! Use our tools to explore the inner mechanisms and circuitry then create your own toy by combining different toys together to create a new FrankenToy. Please bring in your old electric toys for this 2 day workshop!

El Día in the Courtyard

Join us for a fun-filled event celebrating diversity and literacy! El Día in the Courtyard celebrates the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. There will be storytimes in different languages throughout the day, performers, musicians, crafts, and every child leaves with a free book!

Wizard Wand Shoppe

Create your own fantastical wand to cast spells and charms of your own! All supplies and magical expertise will be provided for this workshop. For ages 12 -18.

Learn about the different kinds of armor and weapon types, such as swords, axes and flails. Hear stories about the real Dracula, Vlad Dracul lll, and how he is still the hero of Transylvania, Learn the real stories about William Wallace and Joan of Arc. Graduation Cap Decorating

Upcoming high school graduates, join us at the Northeast Branch Arlington Public Library's Community Room to decorate your graduation cap. We'll be providing paint and other materials!

Join social media influencer, author and local small business owner Jacqueline Hill as we learn about entrepreneurship, social media branding and marketing. Jacqueline teach program participants the fine art of advertising yourself or your business in the best possible way by sharing social media strategies to get followers and clicks. There will be a special focus on nonprofit work so this will help you help others!

Have you ever been interested in becoming an author? Maybe you are having writers block? Join us every other Thursdays for a teen writing workshop series! Learn how to develop your characters or maybe you would like to learn how to write a fight scene. Bring all your questions!

DIY Light Up Holiday Card

Come in and design your own light up holiday card using copper tape, electric paint, LED lights and small batteries. After you're done, send it to someone! Please join us in the Youth Technology Center at our East Branch.

Introducing... SPHERO

Thanks to a Best Buy Community Grant we have 24 brand new Sphero robots ( ) that are waiting for teens like you to program, play with, and watch them roll! We bring the Spheros and the iPads and you just come with your willingness to play and learn and we'll have a great time!

This program is reserved for teens ages 12- 18.
