Speaker Series: Cleburne Baseball

Scott Cain, the author of the newly published book Cleburne Baseball will be joining Mansfield Public Library in speaking about his new book. Come learn about the history of baseball in Cleburne, TX and what it took to create this book. This event will be held at the Farr Best Theater. Registration is required.

Introducing... SPHERO

Thanks to a Best Buy Community Grant we have 24 brand new Sphero robots ( http://www.sphero.com/ ) that are waiting for teens like you to program, play with, and watch them roll! We bring the Spheros and the iPads and you just come with your willingness to play and learn and we'll have a great time!

This program is reserved for teens ages 12- 18.

LEGO Party

Stop by for a LEGO free-for-all for the whole family! Build a car, a spaceship, or a castle. Anything you can imagine! Build as a group or let everyone take on their own project. This event is come and go.

Puzzle Palooza

Puzzle lovers unite! Spare a minute, or an hour and enjoy some puzzle fun. Puzzles of varying ability will be available, including

solar system and pirate floor puzzles Frank Lloyd Write Block puzzle with 12 pieces 300 piece dog puzzle Monet, Beatles, Fallout 4, and more!

This is a come-and-go event.


Mansfield Reads Family Game Night

Bring the kids and spend a fun night learning how to play the ancient Indian game of Pallanguli! Families will make their own game boards, then be guided by library staff in how to play the game, similar to mancala. All materials will be provided. Registration is required. Please register once per family.

Oleander Planting

Paint a beautiful pot and plant an oleander in it. The Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand to provide plant care information. This free program will be held just outside the library. Registration is required. Please register once per family.

Movie Night

In partnership with the Mansfield Arts Commission, join us at the historic Farr Best Theater in downtown Mansfield for a screening of The Mistress of Spices, PG-13, based on the book of the same name by this year's author. Concessions will be available.

Genealogy 101 Workshop

Want to learn more about your family history but don't know where to start? Come join us for Genealogy 101, a beginner's guide to starting your family tree. The program is completely free and only uses free online resources accessible through the Mansfield Public Library.

3-D Printing for Teens

Join us at our East Branch for 4-week workshop to learn how to use a 3-D printer! Have you ever wondered how to use a 3-D printer? Now is your chance to design something of your very own. We will guide you through the steps to create your own design through a 4 week workshop.

GEAR Robotics Competition

Do robots make you excited? GEAR stands for Get Excited about Robotics! This is a tournament style competition played by teams of students from 8 years old to 8th grade.

Be one of the first ones to find your seat and watch this fast paced action while you cheer on your favorite team.
