Join local young adult author Alison Perry on Thursday, May 4 at 5:30 pm for a Q&A about her book, the writing process and what teens want in literature. Door prizes will be given.

Muffins with Mom

Muffins with Mom is a special event for celebrating mom! Join us for fun crafts, food, and refreshments Saturday May 13th. Mom, mother figures, and children only please (dad has his own special day). Space is limited, please call or stop by Mansfield Public Library to sign up.

Speaker Series: Cleburne Baseball

Scott Cain, the author of the newly published book Cleburne Baseball will be joining Mansfield Public Library in speaking about his new book. Come learn about the history of baseball in Cleburne, TX and what it took to create this book. This event will be held at the Farr Best Theater. Registration is required.

Mansfield Reads Family Game Night

Bring the kids and spend a fun night learning how to play the ancient Indian game of Pallanguli! Families will make their own game boards, then be guided by library staff in how to play the game, similar to mancala. All materials will be provided. Registration is required. Please register once per family.

Oleander Planting

Paint a beautiful pot and plant an oleander in it. The Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand to provide plant care information. This free program will be held just outside the library. Registration is required. Please register once per family.

Movie Night

In partnership with the Mansfield Arts Commission, join us at the historic Farr Best Theater in downtown Mansfield for a screening of The Mistress of Spices, PG-13, based on the book of the same name by this year's author. Concessions will be available.

Genealogy 101 Workshop

Want to learn more about your family history but don't know where to start? Come join us for Genealogy 101, a beginner's guide to starting your family tree. The program is completely free and only uses free online resources accessible through the Mansfield Public Library.

GEAR Robotics Competition

Do robots make you excited? GEAR stands for Get Excited about Robotics! This is a tournament style competition played by teams of students from 8 years old to 8th grade.

Be one of the first ones to find your seat and watch this fast paced action while you cheer on your favorite team.

Mansfield Rocks

Mansfield residents have been painting and hiding rocks all over the city for the last several months. Come join the organizer of Mansfield Rocks, Belinda Daughtry, for a fun evening of rock painting. Indian design examples will be provided, as well as all materials. Registration is required for this free event.

Once Upon a Hip Hop

Stories can be read on the page, but did you know they can be told through dance? Come to the East Branch Library patio and enjoy a spectacular performance by Studio 74.

A program for all ages, this event is part of Spring Break Story Bonanza.
