Learn how to determine the risk of flooding in the City of Arlington and how you can purchase flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program. The class will include topics such as:

natural floodplain functions - maintaining this function reduces the overall risk of flooding flood risk - how to find out if your property is at risk and flood insurance - available to both residential and commercial areas outside the Special Flood Hazard areas

Presented by the Floodplain Administration of the Public Works and Transportation Department.

Painting in the Library for Adults

Join Mansfield Public Library in learning how to create beautiful works of art. Our painting instructor will teach you different techniques and methods to create some great watercolor paintings. Spanish for Beginners

This program is for non-native Spanish speakers who want to learn basic Spanish skills. Join us weekly on Tuesday's from 5-6 pm. Classes are free and no registration is required. Programs is limited to 18 & up.

Mindfulness - An Introduction

Writing Group

A public venue in which like-minded writers may bring their work for input from fellow writers and, in turn, return the favor to their peers. These read-and-critique sessions will meet the first Monday of the month in a series of six sessions. Eight spots are available.

This program is facilitated by Vikki Burke with the occasional experienced guest. It is our hope that participants will not only receive valuable feedback on their writing, but will also learn how to create great critique groups of their own.
