ROS/CAR Duo (Violin/Harp)

Rosalie Gilbert and Oscar Soler met and began performing together while both were pursuing Bachelor of Music degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Recently moved to Texas, they have performed as a duo for many years in states across the country including Maryland, Ohio, Colorado, Washington DC, and Wisconsin. Initially dubbed ROS/CAR by Rosie’s older brother, the name stuck. The couple married in July of 2010.

GED/HSE Class Orientation

Mansfield Public Library is pleased to offer GED/HSE classes in partnership with Fort Worth ISD starting in 2018. Classes will be held face to face on Monday’s from 10-1pm at Mansfield Public Library. Orientation for GED/HSE classes will begin on Monday, January 29 th from 10am-1pm. Henna Designs for Adults (18+)

Come join Mansfield Public Library in learning about henna designs. Henna is a plant-based dye that safely stains the skin for a short period of time. Our henna artist will teach patrons how to create beautiful designs with this popular art form. All materials will be provided. Registration is required. Creative Writing Workshop

Energize your creative writing with multiple modalities – scene, poetry, color, dialogue. Using as our guide, excerpts from Michael Ondaatje’s vibrant story of New Orleans Jazz in Coming Through Slaughter , we will explore and practice a variety of writing styles. Workshop leader, Jonnie Martin, holds an MFA in Fiction and is author of the novel Wrangle, winner of a Will Rogers Silver Medallion.
